After enjoying our last morning in Golden, we got on the road, driving from Golden, Colorado, to Dinosaur National Monument (staying in Vernal).
The drive was beautiful, as I-70 followed the Colorado River along its path cut through rock.
We also got a chance to stop in Vail, Colorado, for a couple of hours, enough time to enjoy ice cream and to visit the Betty Ford Alpine Garden, which was a terrific park with a playground, small waterfalls, and flower garden. Courtney and I decided that we would be alright living in Vail, so now we just need to find $1.4m for a fixer-upper. (But, the bus was free, so I'm sure we'd be saving money overall.)
